DC Battery Disconnects

A Safe, Simple Disconnect for Battery Power Plants

EEE manufactures DC disconnects that provide a safe, code-compliant way to isolate a string of batteries for maintenance — and, when required by local fire codes or municipal regulations, a remote means for emergency personnel to de-energize a battery string before entering a facility. Built for the battery power plants found in telecom and other critical facilities, our disconnects are engineered for direct, out-of-the-box interface with over 165 industry-standard VRLA battery models, with a typical installation time of just 30 minutes.

Engineered for Your Application

  • Switch or breaker configuration — available as a molded case switch or molded case breaker, in the same footprint; both provide instantaneous short-circuit protection, while the breaker version adds thermal overload protection
  • Remote EPO (Emergency Power Off) — factory-installed trip coil with remote operating options, including push-button stations, lockable shielded stations, and keyed selector stations
  • Metering shunt option — integrated DC current metering shunt for continuous load monitoring
  • Standard position alarm contact — dry Form-C contact included standard to report disconnect position
  • Custom mounting and termination — each disconnect ships with a battery-specific custom mounting kit and copper termination plate
